The IT integrated webinar, lead by Gaurav Shah, aimed at teaching students how to complete projects, efficiently yet beautifully. Online learning is a relatively new concept for which we need to improve our IT skills and take full advantage of all the resources we have at our disposal. The presenters discussed some of the common projects given by teachers - Presentations, Mind Maps, Podcasts, Videos, Infographics and taught the students a faster and possibly a better way to accomplish the tasks.

THE INDIAN LANGUAGE SCHOOL COMES UNDER THE UMBRELLA OF THE HIGH COMMISSION OF INDIA IN NIGERIA.

New Challenges brought in new ideas. Towards the end of the year , the PTA embraced the idea of challenging students. They organised the PTA Virtual Innovative Child Competition 2021 on Zoom Platform on 10th April 2021. The events were conducted&nbsp;on 10th April,11th April&nbsp;&amp; 24th April followed by the prize distributed on 25th April.

In a global economy, where the most valuable skill one can sell is his knowledge, a good education is no longer just a pathway to opportunity, it is a prerequisite. The new session 2021-2022 commenced on the 7th of April with full enthusiasm. The first day at school aids in recapitulating the fact that one book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world.

ILS, along side 64 other schools, was a part of the International Inter-school Debate Competition organized by Alliance University, India. The participants were expected to be prepared with all the varied range of topics and allotted any one of them to debate on.&nbsp;Manas Aggarwal and Omkar Rai of the outgoing Grade XII Batch and Riya Shinde and Aviv Merwin from the current Grade XII had participated. Manas and Omkar left an everlasting impact on the judges and were praised for their debating skills. Manas Aggarwal successfully reached the Semi-finals which is a commendable achievement.

“Voting is the expression of our commitment to ourselves, one another, our institution, this country, and this world.” Running an election for the class, year level or across the whole school provides the opportunity for students to participate in the democratic process of choosing representatives for a range of purposes. The Contestants are all anxious and did their little bit by introducing themselves to the majority and the Election Panel. In order to maintain transparency their interaction with the Election Panel was Live Streamed. Students added their voice to the chorus that formed opinions and the basis for actions. They were sensitized to the reality that if one does not vote, he loses the right to complain. Remember, There is no such thing as a vote that doesn't matter.

The Indian Language school celebrated its Founder’s Day on 14th April to commemorate the people who founded the school and who have bequeathed resources to its development. The school was established in 1982 in light of the growing Indian community by the Indian high commission in Nigeria. It was originally set up in a residential neighborhood at 11 Johnson Street, Ilupeju. Over the past few years, the school has expanded significantly catering to the large number of students that enroll with the school each year.
